A new “Seed of Life Mandala”

This "Seed of Life Mandala" was completed on 30 September 2024.

Each time I draw a Mandala based on Sacred Geometry, they turn out differently, even though the elements and layout are (nearly) identical. The decoration follows inspiration and becomes a meditative process. It is as if the center, the “Seed of Life”, generates its unique vibrations, as each snowflake has a different formation when observed under a microscope; no two are identical.

Here I have also drawn a Celtic Chain lining the rim of the Mandala; as these chains are hand-drawn they remain fairly tricky to draw perfectly, but with practice, this has become easier and faster to accomplish having drawn many since 2020 when I became interested in Celtic designs, and Sacred Geometry. Here I have mixed these ideas.

I’ve used a variety of lines and dots in this Mandala to create textures and “greys” within the design, alternating at will between these sorts of geometric ideas and more abstract drawings, as you will see in my next blog entry where I intend to write about my “Twin Vortexes” which I recently completed.
