"Mind Map II" or "Comet Over an Egyptian Landscape".

This artwork was created over a period of three weeks, following my artwork, "Mind Map I", (please view the previous blog about that piece). I completed the above artwork on 11 April 2024.

The idea of triangulation set the backdrop for the circles and “Comet” flying over a complicated landscape of Pyramids. The lower circles (resembling Pac-Men) observe the celestial phenomenon in wonder. Lines and arrows lead the eye above in all directions out of the frame.

One evening, a long time ago, on a hot summer holiday in Provence, France, I remember witnessing a spectacular sight; what appeared to be a terrific fireball tearing across the sky not far above me. It made quite a roaring sound as well. I don’t know where (or if) it landed; its speed was immense, and its impact would have been devasting if it hadn't completely consumed itself in the lower atmosphere.
