“Construction Feminine”

“Construction Feminine”. After the complexity of previous pieces, such as the “Star of David Mandala with Celtic Elements”, the “Chakra Mandalas” with their complex layouts and designs that take many hours to draw, or even some of the more abstract drawings that were very detailed, it felt liberating to create this new abstract piece…. Something a bit different… This was my second attempt at this style, having abandoned the first piece as I felt it was overworked… In this piece, I believe, there is simplicity, purity, and balance in the composition. I used six patterns to fill some of the spaces; to give texture, in an effort to balance the composition and give a layered effect.
