"Variation on an Acorn”
I completed this artwork, ‘Variation on an Acorn”, on 23 November 2023, which was born out of my previous “Life Energy in an Acorn” (see my earlier blog entry about that).
This particular “Acorn” did not fall far from the original tree. I kept looking at the large circle formed on the right of that earlier piece, “Life Energy in an Acorn”, thinking it would be interesting to recreate this asymmetric view but with some alternative patterns within the structure. The image also makes me think of an eye, but you may see things differently!
This piece again incorporated thousands of dots (a meditative process) that, when assembled, create these grey fields of textural energy.
