“Memories Orbiting”
I completed Memories Orbiting a few days ago, on 10 October 2023, having worked contemplatively and, from a technical point of view, patiently over a period of several weeks. This ink drawing combines ideas from previous Mandalas and abstract pieces that stemmed from my pen. The most apparent memories recalled here are from three artworks (like quotations) shown here below: "Fish Alien World" (a miniature version reflected in the upper right corner circle) & "The Vortex (I & II)" (lower left corner circle). I did not try to copy these exactly, but rather to reflect memories of these ideas. There is an overall geometrical layout similar to the Mandalas; in this case, I have divided the circle by 36. The center circle is the pupil (or third eye?) that sees everything occurring in past and future dreams.
